Vacancies

Shams occasionally offers opportunities for interns to work with the company on a short-term basis for between 1 to 4 months, for up to 3 days a week, assisting with a range of production, marketing and administrative work.

We aim to tailor the internship to each individual where possible, allowing them to develop their own interests and skills, including being present in the rehearsal room and ongoing creative processes.

Any vacancies will be advertised here and via our mailing list. However, if you are interested in an internship, feel free to write to us and we will contact you when we open applications.

Please look through our website first and learn more about what we do, then send us a copy of your CV with a covering letter by post, explaining clearly what you’d like to learn and achieve if you worked with us.

Performers / Designers / Technicians

We tend to create our productions from a pool of performers, designers and technicians whose work we already know. However, we are interested to hear from you if you are already familiar with our work and think you would like to collaborate with us.

If so, please send us your CV and a covering letter (including any opportunities to see you perform or your portfolio) and we will keep these on file and make sure you are contacted as and when suitable vacancies arise.
